Why is sunscreen so important & what does UVA & UVB mean..?

​UVA rays penetrate through glass, clouds and the ozone layer, and are the same strength all year round. They penetrate the skin deep in the dermis causing photoaging, wrinkles, pigmentation and leathery skin. They also contribute to skin cancers.

UVB rays penetrate the superficial layer of the skin known as the epidermis, and this causes sunburn, and are the main cause of basal squamous cell carcinoma.
